Global Imaging Awarded National HP Latex Dealership

Global Imaging was recently awarded a national dealership to carry the new Hewlett Packard Designjet L25500 Latex printers. HP has awarded this dealership to only a select group of Elite resellers across the U.S.

Latex technology is "green". They produce no ozone emissions or HAP's (hazards air pollutants) and there is no need for worker health and safety concerns, hazard postings or special ventilation to meet U.S. OSHA requirements on occupational exposure. Latex printers use pigmented water-based latex inks that have the same print durability and display permanence as solvent. But unlike solvent, there are no VOC's, they are not classified as hazardous material they are non-flammable and non-combustible. Additionally they emit no noticeable odors, which can sometimes limit indoor applications. Because of the safety and environmental friendliness of these inks, users are able to meet new and developing Environmental standards, allowing them to expand their offerings and meet their own or their customers "Green Initiatives". In addition latex cartridges are recyclable and HP large format media designed specifically for latex printing includes a range of recyclable substrates.
