Successful Value-Added Reseller to Bring Best-in-Class VUTEk Products to Small and Mid-Sized Businesses

FOSTER CITY, CA. October 11, 2006 - EFI (Nasdaq: EFII) today announced a new distribution agreement with Global Imaging, Inc., of Louisville, Colorado, and Dallas, Texas, covering its line of VUTEk superwide format printers and inks, including its environmentally friendly BioVu™ inks. Founded in 1995 by Greg and Tara Lamb, Global’s team of professionals specializes in pre-sales consultation, system design, installation and training across a wide range of image capture, image management, output and finishing solutions. Owners of VUTEk printers include commercial printers, screen printers, photo labs, sign shops and reprographic houses that print on a variety of grand format surfaces, including paper, vinyl, corrugated, textile, glass, plastic and nearly any other flexible or rigid substrate up to two inches thick. EFI’s VUTEk product line is recognized as best-in-class superwide-format printer technology and the company’s technology innovations continue to set the standard for the industry. EFI offers 15 different VUTEk printer models (6.66’ wide to 16.5’ wide) to meet the imaging needs of any wide or superwide format application.

According to the terms of the agreement, Global Imaging will sell the VUTEk product line on a national basis to small to mid-sized businesses. Global will continue to support its existing customers, including service bureaus, wholly-owned sign shops, and the FASTSIGNS and Signs By Tomorrow franchises, in addition to seeking new VUTEk opportunities in the designated markets. Global will also introduce its client base to EFI’s leading-edge portfolio of workflow and business management solutions. Lamb adds, “The bottleneck in the production of superwide format products is not the printing; it is in the management of data, finishing of the print and the business systems. If you can present a solution that addresses workflow and business systems as well as world-class printing, you bring a unique value proposition to this industry. This arrangement with EFI will help us do just that.”

As a testament to the skills brought to bear by Global Imaging and the readiness of the small to mid-sized market to adopt these technologies, Global Imaging has already secured placement of four of EFI’s VUTEk superwide format printers in the first 30 days of the agreement.
