The GTC Series Heat Transfer Calendars are available for narrow width (GTC 81/1850 and GTC 81/2300) or Grand Format Width (81/3400) production capabilities.
The Klieverik machines are engineered for precise use of heat, pressure and timing to produce dye sublimated textile prints. With the GTC Series Heat Transfer machine users can create gorgeous, high resolution textiles using transfer or direct-to-textile process.
These heat presses can be used for wide format transfer of paper-printed images and fixation of direct to textile prints for advertising, exhibition displays, banners and flags, towels, bedding products, sportwear and anything else that would benefit from high-resolution textile substrates.
Transfer Printing
Transfer printing traditionally produces the richest colors and most precise graphics. It works when heat and pressure change solid dye particles from a printed piece, into gas. The gas is then separated from the carrier and permanently bonded into a synthetic fabric, leaving only vibrant dye colors behind. When transfer printing, the dye is contained in a carrier liquid within the transfer paper. When the sublimation process occurs, only the dye is transferred to the textile, thus leaving the purest and most vibrant colors. No further process is needed following the sublimation process.
Direct-to-Textile
Direct-to-textile is an effecient way to produce sublimated products. Using heat and timing the carrier and dye is bonded directly into the synthetic textile. Direct-to-textile fabrics are tradtionally coated, to receive clarity of print. Following the sublimation process, the coating on the fabric will need to be washed off.
Oil Heated Drum
Klieverik uses a proven technology of an oil-filled heat source which heats the drum equally and spreads the heat evenly to release perfect sublimation of dye. This state-of-the-art technology, creates beatuiful prints without ghosting, excessive shrinkage, varience in fixation or difference in colors or color yield, that may be seen with other transfer systems.
