The Epson 900 Stylus Pro printer series can dramatically lower your overall proofing expenses, while providing better quality proofs. By combining the precision of the MicroPiezo TFP™ print head with the extraordinary performance of Epson UltraChrome™ HDR Ink
Epson's New UltraChrome™ HDR (High Dynamic Range) ink is an 11-color set available in high capacity cartridges up to 700ml. This high quality ink set expands on Epson’s UltraChrome™ K3 with Vivid Magenta by adding Orange and Green inks, which significantly increases the range of colors that can be achieved, especially bright green to yellow, and yellow to red. This new ink technology delivers smoother gradation, color consistency under different light conditions and smoother transition between colors. With both Photo and Matte Black ink cartridges installed simultaneously, the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 HDR Ink printer automatically utilizes the optimal black ink mode, delivering maximum black density for the chosen media.
The MicroPiezo®AMC™ print heads feature 360 nozzles per channel for a higher level of ink droplet accuracy and increased speeds while delivering resolutions up to 2880 dpi. This ensures production of the highest image quality from production and contract proofing, to fine art and photographic applications.
With their new ePlaten™ Media Loading Technology, Epson has simplified the overall roll and cut-sheet media loading process. All media is front-loaded via a unique straight-through media path which is compatible with virtually any media type, in roll or cut sheet up to 24 inches wide and 1.5 mm thick. The roll media length tracking and identification system allows for real-time, automatic remaining roll media length counter and is very useful for tracking partially used media rolls.
When driven by the latest front-end RIP software, the optional Epson SpectroProofer™ can automate virtually any color management process in your workflow. This solution will produce reliable, consistent and repeatable proof verification and printer calibration, making remote proofing a reality.
This new high-end printer is perfect for anyone who requires consistently high quality color prints including pre-press and printing companies, reprographic companies, quick printers, professional photographers, photo labs, fine artists, museums and galleries, and graphic design studios.
For the first time on an Epson Stylus Pro series printer, Epson has developed, in partnership with X-Rite®, a high performance, in-line spectrophotometer for commercial proofing applications. When driven by the latest front-end RIPs, the Epson SpectroProofer™ can automate virtually any color management process in your workflow. The spectrophotometer works with both Epson color management software and third party RIPs. For customers using the Epson printer driver, the Epson software performs the complete process from print to measure, automatically, and can calibrate all resolutions at the same time.
The Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 use Epson's latest colour Look Up Table technology, an advanced algorithm that optimises color consistency under different light conditions and further reduces image grain giving much smoother colour gradations. With the introduction of our latest these printers, Epson is once again redefining what's possible from photographic ink jet printing. Welcome to the next generation.
