Aqueous Media

AQUEOUS MEDIA

Both dye and pigment aqueous inks require specially coated media to control the size of the dot, adhere the water-based ink to the substrate, and speed drying time. Pigment inks are generally compatible with a smaller selection of materials than dye, but that gap is closing quickly as pigment technology coatings continue to advance rapidly. Often the coatings developed for pigment inks will further enhance water and fade resistance.
