History
Tara and Greg Lamb

Tara and Greg Lamb founded Global Imaging, Inc. (“Global”) in 1995. With their shared background in photography, the Lamb team recognized the dawn of the digital era would require a unique ability to educate customers and create solutions using leading edge products and technology that performed well together. Providing clients with an integrated, turnkey solution to their digital imaging needs became the foundation on which Global was built.

“Greg and I worked together at a local camera and photofinishing store. There we saw an opportunity to change the way things were being done,” explains Tara Lamb, President of Global. “We observed clients parting ways with conventional means of capturing and outputting images and embracing cutting edge digital imaging equipment. However, there was very little service being provided to these buyers and we recognized an opportunity. Global initially began by stocking supplies, offering discounts, providing education and building relationships.” After operating exclusively in the supplies portion of the business for several months, the Lambs added digital equipment to the product lines offered by Global. They felt their unique grasp of color technology and the conversion of conventional to digital imaging would provide a needed service to end-users.

Equipment manufacturers were quick to recognize Global's ability to integrate products with superb results. Relationships have continued to grow and build over the years allowing Global to consistently add value to the products they sell.
